Online and Hybrid Learning
We were one of the first schools to incorporate online and hybrid learning during the pandemic
starting it as soon as April 2020 just a month into lockdown. Teachers were trained at speed to
use newer channels for conducting classes and managing the daily tasks that come with their
job.
Teacher Training
Majority of our teachers are experienced educators and 54% of them are post graduates. Almost all of
our senior Std. IX & X teachers are ICSE board correctors, moderators, team leaders or subject
chiefs at the ICSE Council Examination.
In 2021-22 Teachers were trained in Kahoot, Padlet, Mentimeter and other Apps to make online
learning, fun. We continue to invest in upskilling our teachers to incorporate newer ways of
teaching so that the learning experience is more experiential and enjoyable for students. This is
being done through our Excellence in Education Program which includes a variety of workshops,
seminars, and training sessions focused on imbibing global best practices in teaching at the
formative schooling level.
Under the guidance of our Chairman, the Leadership team at the Maneckji Cooper Education
Trust School has developed a White Paper on the Teaching Staff at the school, comprising
compliance to statutory requirements, hours of work, optimum number of teachers, assessment
of teachers and steps to improve the quality of the faculty at the school. Teachers are also
encouraged to visit schools in the neighbourhood, through an Outreach Programme, to exchange
and enhance their views related to academics, assessments and various other objectives related
to education. To support continual improvement in teaching methodology, regular class
observations are done by proficient external professionals who guide the teachers to improve
their teaching skills.
Modified School Structure
To enable dedicated focus on each of our subjects and progression levels
within the school, as per NEP we have changed the school structure as follows:
- There are now 4 levels as compared to the earlier 3
- There are Vice Principals for each level
- There are Subject Heads for each subject
- Plans are underway to include Plus II level education in the future
Being True to Our Roots
Societies change and newer ways of doing and being come into existence. While we believe in
evolving to embrace the new, we also think that it is important for our children to have strong
roots, values and a deep sense of appreciation for the legacy that surrounds them. This has been
steadfast throughout our history since inception.
